Finances and funding
Funding from the City of Münster to the group and its expenditure.
As a group on Münster City Council, the Volt group receives group funding. Under the North Rhine-Westphalia Municipal Code (Gemeindeordnung NRW), the council itself decides, within certain limits, how much funding groups receive and on what basis it is allocated. The group uses this funding to organise its work on the council, pay its staff and cover running costs.
2026
The 2026 calendar year has not yet ended. The full figures for the group's income and expenditure will be published once the financial year has closed and the city administration has reviewed them.
2025
From January to October 2025, Volt was organised on the council as a council group (Ratsgruppe). Ratsgruppen receive less funding than full council groups (Fraktionen) and have different obligations towards the City of Münster. In November 2025, Volt was granted full council group status (Fraktionsstatus).
The figures for 2025 will be published once they have been reviewed and submitted to the city administration.
