Allowances

Allowances and attendance allowances of the group's members.

Councillors in Münster receive a monthly allowance for their voluntary work under the North Rhine-Westphalia Compensation Ordinance (Entschädigungsverordnung NRW) and the Main Statute of the City of Münster (Hauptsatzung). Münster pays it as a flat rate; councillors receive no additional attendance allowance for council, committee or group meetings. A function allowance is added for special roles such as chairing a group or a committee. Co-opted members receive an attendance allowance for each meeting; members of supervisory boards and other committees and boards may receive remuneration from the company or institution concerned.
