This decisive advance is a milestone in the development of a modern administration that meets the needs of citizens and businesses. Services are to be offered primarily in digital form, without compromising accessibility and ease of access. The portal is also to refer users to services provided by the federal states and the federal government.
Sven Konopka, Volt’s digitalisation expert, stresses the importance of the motion: “We are making sure that our digital services meet the expectations of our citizens and businesses. By proactively adapting to developments around the Online Access Act (OZG 2.0), we are tackling technical challenges at an early stage and will hopefully be ready as soon as the law comes into force.”
Helene Goldbeck, spokesperson of the Volt council group, highlights the benefits for data security: “This motion strengthens trust in our digital services and protects our citizens’ data more effectively. With the services portal and the Bund-ID, we are creating a central point of contact and a uniform method of identification that makes it easier to access municipal services.”
The motion was developed in close cooperation with our coalition partners, the Greens and the SPD. A further aim is to position Münster as an attractive, modern employer and to optimise administrative processes.
For a city that moves with the times – Münster makes it possible.
